The Power of Encouragement: 3. Find a group of people to hang with

PREVIOUS NEXT

What I mean by this is to find a group of people who have the same interest in exercising as you. It can be a group of people at your local health club or people who regularly get together and walk or go on bike rides. It's also a good idea that these people have something in common with you and are at similar fitness levels. This makes it easier for you to get along as well as keep up with each other. The whole experience will be more enjoyable if you heed this advice.

Keep in mind, the group doesn't necessarily have to consist of people you exercise with. Take Weight Watchers for example-look how successful that organization has become. Just think, you are surrounded by like-minded people who have taken the steps to make nutrition a lifestyle. The positive and encouraging attitudes in a group are priceless.

Check with your local health club or nutrition store to see if there is some kind of exercise or nutrition focus group in your area. If there is, get involved!
