How to Put the Important Things First: 4. Align your priorities with your behavior

PREVIOUS NEXT

Once you've identified your highest priorities, you need to incorporate them into your lifestyle. They need to become part of your everyday behavior pattern. With time and consistency they will soon become habitual. The advantage of this is the little distractions that get in your way, things that have sidetracked you in the past, will now become avoidable. Aligning your priorities with your behavior will give you time for the things that are important in life. Past excuses like "I don't have time to exercise" will not be a part of your vocabulary because you know it's something that leads to positive changes in your life.

"Until you learn to prioritize, you will be constantly distracted and interrupted by trivialities." ~ Vince Lombardi, Jr.
