Trying to make exercise a habit in your life may not be all that easy. Let's be truthful, there are many other habits you form with greater ease. They can be good or bad. The choice is yours.

Following the steps I've outlined for you will not guarantee success. You have to get rid of the excuses and focus on making exercise a habit. Being able to focus on what you want to accomplish is a key ingredient to becoming successful.

Thomas Carlyle said, "The weakest living creature, by concentrating his powers on a single object, can accomplish something; whereas the strongest, by dispersing his over many, may fail to accomplish anything."

Concentrate on making exercise a new habit for you. Put your focus into making it happen. Do this by following the steps I discussed.

  1. Commit yourself.
  2. Set your date to begin and stick to it.
  3. Monitor your progress daily.
  4. Persevere!
  5. Get social support.

You are responsible for making these things happen. No one else can do it for you. Change is not easy, yet it is possible. You just need to go for it!
