Cardiovascular Training

PREVIOUS NEXT

Most likely you've participated in some type of cardiovascular training. If you ever went for a walk, rode a bike, ran a race, paddled a canoe, cross-country skied, or played a recreational sport, then you have participated in cardiovascular exercise. And this just names a few activities.

Why is cardiovascular training so important for the body? Because it maintains the health of the most important muscle in your body...your heart. Cardiovascular training is responsible for improving blood pressure, cholesterol, and circulation, all this leading to a lower risk of heart disease. In addition it can reduce anxiety levels, give you more energy to meet the demands of daily life, and allow you to consume greater quantities of food and still maintain caloric balance.
