Sometimes it seems impossible to get motivated, regardless of what we are getting motivated for. When this happens you need to surround yourself with caring, positive people who will be an encouragement to you. Everyone we come in contact with has an influence on us. That influence can be good or bad. Be sure to surround yourself with people who will encourage you in a positive way.
I recently read a story about how encouragement can be so powerful. A group of psychologists wanted to look at a person's ability to endure pain. So they took a bucket of ice water and had people stand in it, barefooted, as long as they could. What they found was that the people who were encouraged to "hang in there" a little longer actually did last longer than those who had no encouragement.
