Defining your goals: 5. Put a time frame on your goal

In our example the time frame is to lose 25 pounds by the date of the vacation. You should even set time frames on each specific goal. The examples of specific goals I've been using have time frames attached to them. That is, increasing your aerobic activity by five minutes in two weeks, or adding weight to the strength training machines every third session. Also, you can say that for the first month of your exercise program you are going to exercise two times per week, then the second month you will increase to three times per week and so on.

Using time to help you achieve your goals can be very powerful. It serves as the stepping stone to the next level.
